4 Step Program to Encourage Urdu in Children using the English script

One key concept emphasized during my graduate studies in Early Childhood Studies was that the introduction of a second language should be made as early as possible - but it is really never too late to learn. Kids are like sponges and absorb everything.

So it was obvious for us to create books that not only catered to kids at different levels, but also provided a path for kids to start with basic words and move towards reading stories.

This inspired us to create our 4 step program that helps kids progress through easy words, easy sentences, easy stories and storybooks. There will be something for all - whether it's the first book for toddlers, or storybooks for kids to read (or for their parents to read to them).

All our books are written in Urdu and Roman Urdu (English script), and provide an English translation to refer to.

Classic stories and fables translated to Urdu, and then transliterated to Roman Urdu (English alphabets). Our storybooks are focused on the concept of transliteration - you read them in Urdu using English letters. This helps make children more comfortable with the language, and also helps parents who might not be comfortable reading Urdu script themselves.
